Advanced Business Communication intends to provide participants strategies for managing intrapersonal, interpersonal, and team communication by applying EI strategies (emotional intelligence). Research suggests high emotional intelligence helps individuals to communicate better, promote team effort, and problem solve when needed. It also helps to foster and grow good customer relationships.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
-Recognize how and why emotional intelligence is necessary for individual and team success – including promotion.
-Understand the science behind emotional intelligence.
-Develop strategies for managing self-talk including how to use emotional reactions to identify opportunities to problem solve.
-Identify positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.
