Bedonia, Italy: The Power of Digital Storytelling
During the past four summers I have traveled to Bedonia, Italy located in the Emilia-Romagna province to bring awareness to this struggling community in northern Italy. The authentic Italian lifestyle offered to residents and visitors alike is slowly dwindling away. This community is a wonderful place to visit especially if you are interested in experiencing an organic, authentic Italian community. The articles below highlight some of the work I have already done to encourage visitors to Explore Bedonia. This past summer I began documenting the sacred spaces of the Taro & Ceno valleys in 360 degrees. In the fall 2018 at Georgian Court University my work was displayed for six weeks. Visitors experienced a multimedia exhibit including photography, an immersive 360 AR experience, and a documentary film. The exhibit encouraged visitors to consider about how digital storytelling has evolved over time and it presented the beauty of Emila-Romagna, Italy.
The following news stories were written about the region and the work I have done to raise awareness about the people and places of northern Italy.
